Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute

2025-2026 Safe and Inclusive School Planlearning triangle

Our school is committed to providing all students with a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment free from bullying and harassment that promotes respect, acceptance, and empathy.

Staff, students, parents and caregivers, and community partners will work together as a team to help make our school safe and welcoming for everyone.

The Safe and Inclusive School Plan highlights some of the key actions that our school community will put in place as part of our bullying prevention and intervention efforts.

Key Priorities and Goals

This year we will continue to focus on relationship building with all community members.

We are doing this to ensure that all members of the school community feel welcomed, connected, valued and safe in the learning environment and the school as a whole.

Key Actions or Strategies

  • Support students in developing positive relationships with peers, staff and community members.
  • Continue to foster and develop relationships as they relate to the Essential Conditions for Learning and Student Success and Well-being in classrooms and the school as a whole.
  • Continue to develop strong relationships with local OPP and community support organizations.

Community and Home Connections

  • Ask your child about their engagement in school, and to what extent they feel welcomed, safe and included as members of the IDCI community
  • Check out this resource TVDSB Safe Schools site for more information.
