Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute (IDCI) offers a full and diverse range of courses and programs for students in grades 9-12. Our comprehensive curriculum spans the arts (visual art, music and drama), technology, business, geography, history, math, English, science, languages (including French and Spanish), family studies, social sciences and physical education fields.
Our school takes pride in its dedicated teaching, administrative, custodial and cafeteria staff, who work as a team to provide a safe, clean and caring learning environment. We are committed to serving the diversity of student abilities and offer a range of support services to students through our guidance department, student success staff, and learning resource room.
Why Choose IDCI?
IDCI offers five Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs: Construction, Manufacturing, Sport, Transportation, and Non-Profit, Education & Childcare. Students can also participate in OYAP (Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program) through cooperative education courses.
IDCI is home to many successful athletic teams, including golf, cross country running, field hockey, football, basketball, volleyball, hockey, soccer, track & field, badminton and curling.
We're proud of our rich tradition of extracurricular offerings in music, drama, sport and many club activities and charitable ventures. A few examples of our extracurriculars include our Student Parliament, Athletic Council, Concert Band, String Orchestra, Jazz Band, Improv Club, Robotics Club, Me to We, Health & Wellness, Key Club and Reach for the Top.
Parental involvement is very important at IDCI. Our school is actively supported by an involved Home and School Association. The IDCI Home & School Association/School Council works co-operatively with Student Parliament and staff to provide parent volunteers to assist with various school and student events throughout the year.
